App Branding & Concepts

The App Design clients engage my UI services in phases.

Phase One - After a comprehensive discovery call, I take the client through a DIWY (Do It With You) workshop from Avella Brand Storm.

Phase Two - Execution of Flashboards and 3 concepts, with 1 hero design that sweeps the client off their feet.

Phase Three - The first 20 to 30 app screens are mapped out to ensure User Journey Flow is cohesive and follows UX principles (using Figma)

Phase Four - The hero design is applied to approximately 30 app screens, creating a functional and interactive Prototype for the client.

Goals FM | Financial Planning App for the Elite

The Idea…

The owners of Goals FM, had an idea for an app that would essentially solve current financial roadblock and bad spending habits for young, high paid ‘elite's’ -

The Scope…

The branding and app had to be fun! Engage the target audience, keep them interested, entertained and on track with their very high paying salaries. The foundations of the app is ‘wealth building’ advice with added features such as AI coaches, sharing capabilities with other elites, fun and interactive goal setting and easy access to brokers, lawyers and real estate agents.

*The Goals FM Client and UI design project was completed by myself during my time at Appifany in 2024. (not under the Avella Creative brand). All ownership rights of this app and UI design, including branding, belong to the clients of Appifany.
The project shown is for my portfolio/presentation purposes only.

User Interface Design | GoG Website

The Problem

The original website was struggling with retaining shoppers. The metrics indicated that almost 60% of customers were not checking out and purchasing meal orders or meal subscriptions. One of GoG main target audiences are individuals on NDIS - meaning they had a disability or life threatening illness. The UI principals of making the website accessible and inclusive were failing.

The Solution

After an in depth audit was conducted by one of my software engineer partners, we discovered not only was the site filled coding bugs, there was very little User Journey Flow, the colour scheme failed accessibility testing through WCAG, and the checkout flow kept failing.

Working alongside the software engineer, I worked on recreating the GoG website, redesigning the entire site - applying UI and accessibility principals.

Key Findings

Having a custom built e-commerce website that isn’t pre built by shopify, must be strict with all User Flow variables.

The screens on display cover the UI design and flow a customer journeys through upon the new check out system
